چکیده

The major task of Chinese water governance has gradually shifted away from environment protection to ecology remediation, and the trace organic pollutants, including persistent pollutants antibiotics, attracted growing concern. present study examined seasonal distribution sources typical antibiotics in six representative lower reaches Yangtze River, as well their ecological risk environment. Six surface sediment samples were collected at different time intervals, i.e., December 2018, March 2019, June concentrations nineteen organochlorine pesticides (OCPs), seventeen polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), eight polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) analyzed by GC-MS. findings are listed below: ? Endosulfan sulfate, Beta-endosulfan, methoxychlor (POPs) detected sediments Gaoyou Lake, Gonghu Gehu with ranging 9.0 10.6 ng/g. ? target relatively low levels. Occurrences sulfonamide NF~37.4 ng·L?1 NF~47.3 ng·g?1. Concentrations quinolone two media NF~5.3 ng·L?1, 0.4~32.5 ? combined toxicity (risk quotient, RQ) Lake was 0.18, which a moderate level. There no obvious most affected POPs. However, there certain risks Sanjiangying, induced OCPs PCBs. This provides scientific basis for treatment reservoir sources.

Characteristics of Water Pollution in Typical Reservoirs

Since the 1950s, the pollution of reservoirs has become serious. The water quality in reservoirs is deteriorating due to population growth, industrialization, and urbanization. In order to clarify the characteristics of water quality change in reservoirs, in-situ monitoring of water quality and phytoplankton were conducted in Jinpen Reservoir, Shibianyu Reservoir, Zhoucun Reservoir, and Zhelin ...

Assessment of health risk associated with persistent organic pollutants in water

This paper presents the results of analyses of water samples taken from water intakes supplying one of the districts located near the city of Wrocław. Surprisingly high concentrations of polychlorinated biphenyls and chloroorganic pesticides, classified as persistent organic pollutants (POPs), were detected in the monitored sites. Basing on the analytical and toxicological data, the individual ...

Ecological assessment of organic pollution of Bustan dam reservoir using Palmer and Carlson indexes

In this study, the trophic status of the Bustan dam reservoir was investigated using Palmer and Carlson indices. Biological parameters including phytoplankton and environmental factors such as phosphate, nitrate and chlorophyll were sampled at the depth of 0.5 meter in five stations in three replicates seasonally in 2019, repetitions and Then the Palmer and Carlson indices were determined. The ...
